House arrest latest: Chime finally sends wife out of Govt. House

Clara and Chime
After two weeks of controversy over the house arrest of Enugu State First Lady, Clara Chime, the Governor, Sullivan Chime on Monday, November 11, finally sent her packing from the Government House.
The eviction of Clara is the climax of the controversy surrounding the outcry over her alleged confinement by her husband.
She was packed up and moved with her four-year-old son to her mother’s house in Enugu. Entertainment Express learnt that security agents were posted outside the house for several hours to ensure she did not return to the Government House.
Speaking to reporters at her mother’s place, Clara described how her marriage to the governor had broken down, with four years passing without any intimacy between them. She insisted she was not mentally ill as portrayed by the governor and his aides. “The marriage was so bad that I frequently had nervous breakdowns, which led the governor to confine me to a section of the government house until I managed to smuggle out an email crying for help,” she allegedly narrated to reporters.
