Tears, mourning as comedian Elder O buries father

Elder O
Emerging star comedian, Ogechukwu David, popularly known as Elder O is at the moment in tears and brokenhearted over the recent lost of his lovely father, Elder David Nwankwo, who gave up the ghost on August 14 and was buried yesterday, Saturday 20, at his home town-Nkpa, in Bende Local Government area of Abia State.
The interment which could aptly be described as a festival of tears, eulogies and mourning was graced by the young comedian’s colleagues from entertainment industry, especially comedians who flew to Nkpa to support him with their valuable presences.
Torrents of glowing tributes have continued to pour forth from my colleagues. My late father was an elder in Methodist Church, Okpuhu, Nkpa. That shows you how religious and respected he was. He contributed so much, especially to the development of his community and beyond. I had a very memorable father-son relationship with him, a reason I abandoned my job for three weeks in Lagos and stayed with him at Obioma Hospital, Umuhia,” Elder O who is the first child in a family of six boys told Sunday Express amid tears.
The rib-cracker who prides himself as the youngest elder of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is indeed an emerging star comedian. His unique style of dressing-natively-and ability to hold his audience swaying in laughter stands him out in the league of comedians.
